More on the basics how to set up/convert d5 themes to d6.

Devel Tips

The Mind website just launched.

This was a project I worked on for 4 years at the Exploratorium -- developing web/kiosk interactives and some physical exhibits. (Though I must say...I never want to go back to the days of making sites under 800px wide and it hurts to look at any site that isn't in Drupal!)

Chach Sikes is a Drupal-obsessed web person who is committed to improving education about biology and the natural world. With her friend, Jeanne-Marie Acceturo, she has co-founded an outdoor-learning web-based project called LocalBiology. She has worked in science museums for the past 5 years (Science Museum of Minnesota and Exploratorium.)

Drop a line

Here is a theme I worked on for the Omeka platform in conjunction with UC Berkeley's Open Knowledge and the Public Interest department, with Noah Wittman. This theme will make it a lot easier for people with less web experience (or less time) to create a visually rich web experience. It was totally fun to work on!

http://www.howtoforge.com/setting-up-eclipse-pdt2.0-on-eclipse3.4-ganymede

1. get eclipse classic (ganymede)

http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

2. unzip and open

3. preserve prev version of eclipse as well as you can (rename eclipse folder to eclipse_3.3) -- move new eclipse folder to applications or wherever you usually store it
create a new workspace, or change name of old workspace...we'll move 3.3 projects later -- back up in case folders are different

4. get eclipse updates

A few weeks ago, I attended a code sprint. This code sprint had the goal of enhancing Drupal taxonomy (core and contributed) modules in a way that will make it possible for scientists to import massive quantities of taxonomic information about all of the different species on this planet.

I would like to share this experience of group module development, especially with DrupalChix! So I wrote this article

Someone asked me if that picture was of a zucchini! :)

It's actually a spruce needle. There is a very very tall Norway Spruce outside my house. In the dead of winter, I decided to paint it. So, it's the needle, but magnified a lot.

The classes I take are at the Minnesota School of Botanical Art...

I will be giving a presentation about theming CCK fields at DrupalDaze, this coming Sunday.

I managed to add a bunch of pages about my own projects with Drupal 6 in a very short time. Drupal 6 is pretty swift.

The only serious problem is still that Views is still beta..I will experiment with this and let you all know how it goes.

An older version of my resume...the only differences being:
I now work at the Science Museum of Minnesota on the Disease Detectives Website as well as the NISE network.
I attended DrupalCon, Museums and the Web, MN.swf camp.
